New Dyersburg Foreclosures Blog Site

Over 1/2 of my calls now are from people looking for a great deal in a foreclosure. Since there are so many sources(some charging for the information) I have decided to provide a single site where most if not all the foreclosures in the Dyersburg area can be viewed free of charge.

It is my hope that if you find my information helpful and you need a Realtor to assist you then I would be that Realtor.

The new website can be viewed at www.dyersburgforeclosures.info

New jobs in Dyersburg,Tn area

One of my clients came in the office today and told me his plant is going full force. He works for Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminal in Hickman,Arkansas.

His plant services the Nucore Steel Plant there close by. Barry told me they are mainly looking for operators to drive shuttle trucks around the yard and also looking for torch cutters. Kinder Morgan delivers scrap steel from barges to the Nucore Plants close by.

Kinder Morgan first hires people through Dawson Employment Agency in Blytheville ,Arkansas. Their phone number is 870-763-0133. My contact says he does not believe you have to complete 90 days before they hire you permanently.

I also talked to someone at my church who works at Tenaris in Hickman. That plant makes steel pipe for the oil industry and they are working 7 days a week right now trying to get caught up. Sorry I do not know who you contact for that job!

In order for the Dyersburg Real Estate market to do well, people have to have jobs and I am proud to be able to relay jobs information as I get it.

January 2010 vs January 2009 market report

In an earlier post I promised to return here to crunch the numbers for the Dyersburg real estate market for the month of January verses the same period one year ago.

Quantity of Units Sold 8 in Jan 2010 vs 10 in Jan 2009 (which is a decrease of 20%)

Volume Sold $635,400 in Jan 2010 vs $1,169,500 in Jan 2009 (this is a decrease of 46%)

Average Sales Price $79,425 in Jan 2010 vs $116,950 in Jan 2009 (this is a decrease of 32%)

Quantity Active 150 units in Jan 2010 vs 211 in Jan 2009 (this is a decrease of 29%) (this is a good sign)

According to these numbers, the Dyersburg Real Estate market is still weak. In a previous post we indicated that the 2009 numbers were below 2008 numbers but we had a slight rebound in December verses a year ago. Because of that rebound I promised to analyze the January numbers. One factor that could have affected sales in January was the snow storm we had. Business absolutely shut down as did other businesses and all the schools. Actually all the schools are still out today.
