Dyersburg real estate 2007 numbers are in
As I have been promising here are the sales numbers for Dyersburg. In 2006 we reported a sales increase of 1.7% over 2005.
For 2007 Dyersburg residential sales fell by 4%. Newbern fell by 15% and all of Dyer County fell by 24%(sales volume). Most of the drop occurred in the second half of 2007 (subprime mortgage meltdown).I have been reading nationally that sales have dropped by 10% or more.
Although Dyersburg Tennessee residential sales dropped by 4%, commercial sales for the same period came in at $3,545,000(increase of 42%). Multifamily sales came in at $1,197,176(increase of 36%)
The total sales for Dyersburg came in at $27,626,856 an increase of about 1/2%.
