Dyersburg Real Estate Market Starting To Sizzle Nov 20, 2014
The Dyersburg real estate market is starting to sizzle. I ran the numbers for the month of October and had to interpolate the data with one company leaving our MLS last year.
This data should be close for total sales of homes in Dyersburg and Dyer County.
For Dyersburg total home sales were $2,100,471 which is an increase of 56% over $1,343,151 for October 2013. The average sales price was $161,127 for Oct 14 verses $103,319 for Oct 13.
For Dyer County total home sales were $1,852,311 for Oct 2014 verses $1,563,000 for Oct 2013 which is an increase of 18% over last year. The Dyer County results do not include the Dyersburg sales. The average sales price for this year in October was $189,433 verses $173,666 for Oct 2013.
Notice how the average sales price increased in both Dyersburg and Dyer County. The reason for this is because there was considerable less foreclosures than last year and many more "normal" sales.
