Promised sales number for Dyersburg MLS 2006
I have finally tallied the sales numbers for our board for the year 2006. I went back in my archives Aug 1, 2006 and have copied and pasted the results I calculated from 2004 and 2005.
1. Our total real estate sales jumped 3.9% from 2004 to 2005 with average price jumping 3.3%2. Our total real estate sales jumped 4% (so far) from 2005 to 2006. Average price per home jumped 7% from same period 2005
Now for the new data(all of 2006):
1. Our total real estate sales were $58,299,280, which is an increase of 1.7% over 2005 number of $57,323,798
2. The average price per home sold was $102,293, which is an increase of 7.4% over 2005 average price per home($95,222)
Now what does this all mean for the Dyersburg,Tennessee and surrounding area market?
Our home sales are continuing in a "measured" growth period unlike most parts of the country that are actually declining. I did run the numbers for the first half of 2006 verses 2005 and that increase was about 4% and we ended up at 7.4 % for the year over 2005 so the second half of 2006 picked up steam.
The Dyersburg real estate market is indeed very healthy and still growing. We continue to be very busy with clients here at Carousel Realty. Both segments of our market(locals and out of state people) are both doing well.
