Mississippi gets new Toyota plant
According to the Associated Press and other press entities, Tupelo,Ms. will be the new home of the Toyota "Highlander" SUV manufacturing facility. The announcement was made in Tupelo by 2 Toyota vice presidents and Governor Hailey Barbour. The site is a 1700 acre tract at Blue Springs near Tupelo.
My pick was the Marion,Ark location. I believe you will continue to see a trend of the automakers building plants here in the south.
According to local sources the NSK steering columns plant coming to Dyersburg has already made a decision to increase their plant size. There is also reliable sources stating that a ceramic tile manufacturing plant is planning to build a new factory here in Dyersburg,Tennessee. More news soon!!
